What do you think of the name Morris for a boy?

Help! We're having trouble picking a boys name for our baby due in September and were wondering about the name Morris. I know its a bit different but the other names we like tend to be very popular eg. Thomas, Harry, Alexander, or William. We were thinking maybe Morris William Brown. I did make the mistake of mentioning the name Morris to my mum who was very negative and now I'm not sure if it is a good name!
