Would a person lose faith in God if he/she goes through extreme difficulties in life?

Unfortunately, many make the mistake of blaming God for such tragedies and difficulties. The reason is because they think he is the Ruler of this World. However, the bible reminds us at 1 John 5:19 that "The Whole World is lying in the power of the wicked one." When you think about it the world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature, Satan the Devil. The bible also ures us God's promise to rid the earth of wickedness (Psalm 37:10, 11).
