What would be better would be a lawyer for the kids, that keeps him out of it more. There's also child advocates, kinda like social workers, but more independent of the state. Again, he needs to keep some distance from it. Especially because she's prone to false accusations. She won't have such an easy time with an advocate or the child's' lawyer.
