Boyfriend has mood-killing pregnancy phobia?...?

i'm 18 and my boyfriend and i started having a little over 2 months ago. things have been great, except in the past few weeks he has become increasingly paranoid about getting me pregnant. i'm not on birth control, but we always use a condom and he pulls out just to be sure. does anyone have any suggestions as to what might alleviate his fears? i'd love to go on birth control, but then i would have to get my mom involved, which is a level of awkward i'd rather not experience. any advice is appreciated
